Writing & audio

One narrator or character, in English, with up to 500 spoken words across all four clips.

The opening is normally around 200–250 words. Exact duration depends on the agreed performance.

Approval & use

You approve the script and voice direction before final audio production.

Use in your named commercial room is confirmed before payment, subject to the licensed voice tool's terms.

How the performance is made

I write the script and direct the performance. The voice is AI-generated, and you'll approve the words and voice direction before I produce the final files.

Production starts after payment and the complete brief. The five working days exclude time awaiting script or voice approval; we'll agree the final delivery date before payment.

Opening excerpt

If you can hear this, the lighthouse still has power. That's the good news. The bad news is that someone has changed the shipping signal, and the night ferry is heading straight for the rocks. I'm locked out of the control room. You're inside it. Find the keeper's log, work out which signal he was trying to send, and get the lamp working before the ferry reaches the headland. One more thing: if the radio starts using my voice before I press the transmitter, switch it off.

Hint

The keeper numbered the storms, not the days. Check the log again. You're looking for the night the glass broke.

Success

There. She's turning. You've got her clear of the rocks. Keep the lamp on until you can no longer see the stern light. And if someone knocks from inside the lantern room, leave them there.

Failure

The signal's gone. I can't see the ferry. Stay together and get back to the door. Whatever is climbing the stairs has learned my voice.

Who is Future Pulp Studio?

Future Pulp Studio is the writer-led genre studio of Ciaran Gilligan, based in Leeds, UK. It develops original high-concept screen projects, selected producer commissions and practical development routes for independent creators.

Modern tools can support research, comparison and workflow. The premise, writing, story decisions, editorial judgement and final creative responsibility remain human—and Ciaran handles every commissioned briefing pack and producer brief personally.

Can you work with an existing room?

Yes. Send the premise, your current script if you have one, and the parts you want to replace. The pack covers one opening, one in-game message and two endings.

Do you design the puzzles?

You supply the puzzle logic and the action the hint should lead towards. I write the character and story delivery around those details.

Is the voice AI-generated?

Yes. I write the script, direct the voice and check the finished clips. You’ll know how the audio is made before booking. The standard pack uses one commercially licensed synthetic voice.

Can we approve it first?

You’ll approve the script and voice direction before final audio production. One script revision round is included, followed by correction of delivery errors such as a mispronounced agreed name. A new script, voice or direction after approval is a new brief.

Can we use the files in a paying attraction?

The pack is intended for use in your named commercial room. The agreed use and any relevant voice licence limits are confirmed in writing before payment. This does not transfer ownership of the voice model or promise exclusive copyright in the synthetic performance. Installation and technical setup remain with your team.

Can you match an actor or famous character?

I can work towards a broad character direction, such as a weary lighthouse keeper or an unreliable station announcer. The standard service does not include impersonating a real performer or recreating a protected franchise character.

Is Story Blueprint just a collection of prompts?

No. It is a connected development system containing a full Guide, editable Workbook, worked example, decision tools, pitch-development tools and a final story audit.

Do you take producer commissions?

Selectively. Future Pulp takes on defined commercial genre-writing briefs where the material, timetable and production shape are a good fit. Scope, fee, delivery, revisions, credit and rights are agreed before work begins.

What does a screenplay commission cost?

There is no universal screenplay rate. A title or concept pass, treatment, outline, feature first draft and defined rewrite are different jobs, so each suitable brief is quoted against its actual scope.

Can producers read the original projects?

Selected completed projects may be shared privately with suitable producers when they are ready and open for discussion. Scripts are not posted for public download, and option or acquisition terms are considered project by project.
